Last month, I sent Flat Stanley to Middleburg, Florida. When he got there, my grandpa was so excited, and he did everything that he could possibly think of with Stanley. He rode Stanley on the lawnmower, watched the space shuttle, and learned about my cousin Shane Kimbrough (who was an astronaut on the shuttle). It was so cool!
While Flat Stanley was with my grandpa, they also visited me here in Jackson County, Florida. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. After dinner, my cousin’s enjoyed riding the go-cart, riding four-wheelers, and playing basketball. On Sunday, my grandparents returned to Middleburg, Florida with Flat Stanley.
I received Flat Stanley back from grandpa around November 21st. My teacher Mrs. Hawthorne read grandpa’s story to my class. My whole class laughed at his story. My grandpa is such a character himself. I was the first person in my class to get my story back, and my teacher was so excited. My mom came to pick me up early for an appointment on this day. Mrs. Hawthorne was so excited that she asked for my mom to come down to the room to share it with her.
